One Seed has embarked on an exciting new direction - producing ethically-made school uniforms!
We have undertaken this shift for the following reasons:
- Exit from the retail fashion market and entry to the schools market
- Becoming more sustainable in the long-term i.e. stable/repeat/regular demand, generic products that are scalable
- Minimising the investment required into continual development of new products
- Strengthening the sewing skills of our partners in Cambodia through increased quality, standardisation and volume.
We are continuing to work with the same micro-enterprise in Cambodia that we have been working with since 2005. However, unfortunately we no longer produce handbags or fashion items, as this is a wholesale shift we undertook in order to bring long-term sustainable change.
